Sharon Thompson is our preschool director. She has taught the four-year old class for the past seventeen years. She attended local colleges to obtain her early childhood certificate. Before coming to Peace she did home daycare and then was the childcare director at First Lutheran School.
Lisa Kromka is in her eighth year at Peace. Having served as an assistant in Mrs. Thompson's class, is now a teacher for the four year old class. In the past, Lisa has been involved in teaching young children at "Community Bible Studies", active with Missions Outreach and the childrens department with her own church .
Cathy Olson joins us for her third year as the teachers assistant in Mrs. Beattie's three year old class. Cathy has a degree in Fine Art, has obtained her associate teacher permit and is continuing her education in Early Childhood Developement.
Francine Beattie begins her twenty second year at Peace Preschool. She has taught the three-year old class for the past six years and will be teaching summer school 2008. Previously she assisted Mrs. Thompson and was also our Jr. Kindergarten teacher. After college she taught preschool overseas for a few years before returning to California.
Sandra Miller has been an assistant teacher for the past 4 years. In addition to being an assistant this year Sandra will be teaching the Jr. Kindergarten program twice a week. Sandra also has plenty of hands on experience raising her own six children, four of whom are Peace alumni.
Jake Parsons, Director of Family Ministry joins the classroom with his guitar weekly for music class, teaching the children their monthly curriculum and special event songs. In addition, Jake does Chapel for our preschoolers, teaching them their monthly Bible verse, songs and lessons.
