Let's Hear It For The Team!
Things go better with teams. The Bible records Israel’s great battle against the Amalekites (Exodus 17). Moses ascended a hill high above the battlefield to be seen by all the Israelites who were fighting below. Whenever Moses raised his hands and staff up to heaven the Israelites were winning. But if he dropped his hands they started to lose the battle. So, Aaron and Hur, who had also climbed the hill, placed a stone for Moses to sit on when he grew tired. Then they got on either side of Moses to hold his hands up, so that by sunset the Israelites defeated their foes. Let’s hear it for teamwork!
This summer we rejoice in the newest member God has brought to our Peace staff team – Jake Parsons. Jake takes on the role of Director of Family Ministries. Together he and Deacon Mike (Director of Youth Ministry) will flank Pastor Rob to hold him up in his pastoral leadership of Peace Lutheran Church. And we invite you to join our ranks as together we seek to carry out the Great Commission our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has given us to share the Good News of forgiveness of sins in His Name.
